The title that many Nintendo fans consider to be the ultimate title, Super Mario Bros 3, was released today on the Virtual Console for the Wii.
This isn’t another watered down or varied version of the game, according to tgdaily.com, this is the original game. Previous re-released versions for the Super NES and the Game Boy Advance never really quite lived up to the original.
Along with Super Mario Bros. 3 you can also download Alien Soldier for the Sega Genesis, and Power Golf for the Turbografx 16. Alien Soldier is priced at 900 Wii Points ($9), higher than the standard Genesis price of 800 Wii Points. Power Golf is set at 600 Wii Points ($6).
The release of Super Mario Bros. 3 is being billed as a prelude to the Wii’s Super Mario Galaxy which hits stores next week.
